Choir

  • Singing all but first Sunday of the month at the 11:00AM Mass from September through the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) and takes off during the summer months.
  • Rehearsals are weekly on Thursdays at 7:30PM.
  • The music sung by the SJB Choir spans a variety of genres and styles but tends to focus more in the direction of classical sacred music.
  • The choir supports the singing of the congregation and augments it with harmony and descant. Additionally, the choir sings choral literature from early chant through the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th Century Periods.
  • Previous choral experience and ability to read music are certainly helpful, but are by no means a requirement for joining.
